Programs

Most of the funds raised support local projects, while a portion are provided to the Georgia State and International Lions programs. The club donates to more than 30 charitable programs. Some of these include:

	Dawson Senior Center
	CASA & NOA
	Scouting Programs
	Georgia Lions Childrens Eye Clinic at Emory
	Canine Companions

	Leader Dogs for the Blind
	Ga. Lions Camp for the Blind
	Red Cross & Cancer drives
	Chestatee Regional Library
	Glasses & Hearing Aids for those in need

	Local Scholarships
	Providing large print reading materials for the Dawson County Library

Members perform hands-on work, such as Shore Sweep (the annual Lake Lanier clean-up), assisting in clean-up and construction at the Dawson Arts Center, building handicap access ramps and other construction programs improvements in the Dawson Senior Center, and the "Adopt-A-Highway" program. We also participate with other civic groups in Dawson County on joint projects to benefit our community.
