The mission of the Lions Club is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all members for humanitarian needs. This mission is achieved by providing financial support and voluntary services to citizens and organizations of Dawson County in need of charitable endeavors.  Our club also provides support to the Lions organization at the District, State and International levels..

Lions Clubs are committed to exercising good stewardship of all funds collected through various fund raising activities. Moreover, the mission of the Lions Club is to encourage service-minded people to serve our community without personal financial gain and with high ethical standards.

The lifeblood of our club is our members. Our membership has continued to grow since our club began, and today we have more than 65 members. Our members, both male and female, have a wide variety of backgrounds. Some were born and raised in Dawson County, while others are recent arrivals from around the state and across the country. This diversity provides an excellent opportunity for our members to participate in a wide range of activities. They are all committed to providing services to the community, the needy and the handicapped, while having fun and fellowship with each other and the community.
