Dawsonville Lions 2008 Golf Tournament A Great Success!

Thanks to our players (160) and sponsors this year's tournament was a great event and well attended. Special thanks to Lions Jim Young & Jerry Tragesser for their efforts organizing the event. President Chip Sweatte presents a Community Service Award to Mike Berry for his volunteer work with autistic children in the Dawsonville area. Great work Mike - seriously!

Gold Creek has been closed! The golf tournament has been moved to Chestatee Golf Club on September 10, as originally scheduled.

New officers for 2008 - 2009 were installed in our meeting on June 16, 2008. Congratulations to our new President, Chip Sweatte. For a full list click on "Officers" button at left. Congratulations also to those presented with awards.

The 40th Annual Fall Moonshine Festival was held in Dawsonville October 27 - 28, 2007. The Lions had an excellent weekend for one of their primary fundraisers of the year. The weather and crowds were excellent. Lions sold hot dogs, funnel cakes and soft drinks. We also held our annual raffle. This year's grand prize, a Cub Cadet Tractor/Mower and Trailer, was won by a Dawsonville resident.
